Makuluduwa New Model Academy in the Piliyandala region is a semi-urban educational institution with approximately 500 students enrolled. This academy originated under the shade of a coconut tree in 1937 AD and is presently evolving and expanding in terms of physical resources. The majority of students participating in national examinations, scholarship assessments, and the G.E.C (Ordinary Level) exams have successfully surpassed the required thresholds, securing excellent grades. Through extracurricular activities, they have excelled and garnered accolades on a national level.
